Frost & Sullivan held the virtual awarding ceremony of the “2020 Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Awards” and announced that CHT continued to win the “Taiwan Colocation Services Provider of the Year”, “Taiwan Mobile Data Service Provider of the Year”, as well as the “Taiwan Cloud Infrastructure Service Provider of the Year” for the first time.

To effectively reduce the risk of data center maintenance and improve customer trust, CHT Banqiao IDC is the first data center in Taiwan to acquire the Uptime Institute M&O (Management and Operations Stamp of Approval) certification this year. M&O verifies whether data centers have professional infrastructure and maintenance abilities through external audits. Hence, M&O certification means that CHT Banqiao IDC meets the international standards in continuous maintenance management and outperforms other companies with continuously improving the excellent service quality.

Frost & Sullivan awarded the “Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Awards” to CHT, thereby defeating telecommunication companies in countries in the Asia-Pacific emerging market for the first time. It also won the 2019 Asia-Pacific Emerging Market Telecom Service Provider of the Year, winning honor for Taiwan. In addition to being shortlisted in the Asia-Pacific regional competition for the first time and winning an award, it won the “2019 Taiwan Mobile Service Provider of the Year” and “2019 Taiwan IDC Provider of the Year” this year, outperforming other companies in the mobile and data fields, respectively.

CHT Banqiao IDC acquired the SOC reports (Service Organization Controls Report) issued by Ernst & Young. SOC Report is a form developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), aiming to verify the security control and effectiveness of the services provided by service organizations through external audits. Two reports, namely SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2, are acquired this time. SOC 1 focuses on internal control related to financial statements, while SOC 2 focuses on organizational compliance and risk control.

CHT Banqiao IDC and Fuguo IDC acquired PCI DSS on August 20, 2018
To ensure data center information security and continuously improve service quality, CHT Banqiao IDC and Fuguo IDC passed the data center management certification of PCI DSS, ensuring that financial customers meet the strictest international information security certification standard when entering.
CHT Banqiao IDC won two 2018 APIGBA Awards on June 28, 2018
On June 28, Asia Pacific Intelligent Green Building Alliance (APIBA) announced that CHT Banqiao IDC had won the “Gold Award in System Products” and “Silver Award in Design” in the “2018 APIGBA Awards”. It was the only company that won two awards, proving CHT’s persistence and efforts in environmental sustainability.
CHT Banqiao IDC won two awards in the 2nd Taiwan Excellent Green Building Competition
In combination with the “intelligent energy management cloud platform”, independently developed by CHT based on the data center measurement standard of “The Green Grid”, CHT Banqiao IDC achieved a high energy efficiency below PUE 1.5. It passed the LEED Gold certification of the U.S. Green Building Council and won the “Platinum Award in Excellent Intelligent Green Products” and “Silver Award in Excellent Intelligent Green Building Design” in the “2017 TIBA Awards”.
